5/24/2023 0 Comments The outer worlds 2 news![]() There's plenty to point out that should have been caught in play-testing and fixed before release, but we're once again tricked into paying $60 for the privilege of play-testing a "triple A" title. Weird mechanics like literally crouching in front of someone and robbing them blind, without a peep. I've even had the game hang twice, with the entire system locked up for about 30 seconds before unfreezing. Characters stuck up to their waist in furniture. ![]() Characters suddenly disappearing, but still shooting you from nowhere, until you move and they reappear. It is very buggy however, in ways that are so obvious that it's clear this is yet another case of the deadline being more important than the quality. Technically, it is good-looking, plays fairly fluently although the performance is underwhelming given the specs of the hardware I've played on, but certainly not terrible. It doesn't stand out as much from titles like Fallout 4 in that sense and it doesn't meet the expectations rave reviews may have given you. You can commit mass murder at one end of the street and still have a conversation with people on the other end, provided your standing didn't change too much. People hardly notice what happens around them. The freedom to help or shoot whoever you like seems interesting at first, but pretty soon you find out that the game is fairly dumb.
